I mean come on where is the evidence? The software lineup for the ps3 is awesome but saleswise there is no momentum. They are down YOY in slaes. Sales momentum will come with the pricecut and who knows when that will be. Soon hopefully.

SOny announced they had shipped 21.3 million consoles. Vgchartz are trying to estimate sales to consumers.
Same with MS -they announe shipped numbers so the actual numbers will be lower. But I agree that the 360 seems to be overtracked by 500K or the ps3 undertracked by 500K or more likely a mixture of both.
But then again none of us really know because its not like we have any concrte worldwide data either.

the people that still believe the wii is a FAD are either delusional or in denial. How can something that has outpaced the ps2 be a fad? Just because you don't like it or you don't think it will last does not qualify it as a fad. After 3 years at the top for nintendo no one will catch them now.

Morgan: I would say the vast majority of people if they have bothered to pre order the game would pick it up within the first 2 days. SOme may not but the majority will. If this is what your relying on then you will be disappointed. Whats the need to try and defend these sales anyway? They look good to me. But 1 million pre orders just aint happening i'm sorry.
had millions of pre orders but the in the US it only sold 300K? Erm..whatever you say...
NPD won't be that far off they get data from too much of the market. 300K in 2 days is good anyway.
Killzone 2 didn't produce a boost per se but hardware for ps3 is much better than expected. Trouble is hardware is better than expected for the 360 and wii too so no ground gained really. It will be interesting how this transpires into March.
For visuals then heavy rain has got to take the crown. It looks eye achingly beautiful.
and I found it hard to believe too. The effective price cuts that sony and nintendo are giving to the British consumer is really astounding when you see how the exchange rates have collapsed between the yen and the pound.
The difference between the two is Nintendo had the luxury to increase the price whilst sony does not.
